Welcome to Design Stories……….
I’ve decided it’s time to start sharing more of what happens behind the scenes of my design work — not just the before-and-afters or the pretty spaces, but the stories that shape them.
Because every project I take on, whether it’s a full home transformation or simply choosing the right colour palette, comes with a story. Even a house flip has its own narrative, a sense of history being passed on to new caretakers.
No matter how big or small the job, there’s always something deeper going on. These homes hold memories, moments, and meaning. And that’s what keeps me inspired — the chance to honour those stories, to weave them into the fabric of the design, and to help create spaces that feel like home in every sense of the word.
This is what motivates me and inspires me all the time with what I do. This is a part of why I love creating.
Don’t we all love a good story. I know I do.
I’ll be sharing more of these personal journeys with you on the blog. I may even have a new platform coming soon where you can follow along, see the progress, and maybe get inspired for your own space too.
The first story I’ll be sharing is about a nearly 100-year-old cottage I recently transformed — a sweet, timeworn home full of charm and history. What was once a tired, forgotten space is now a cosy haven, a treasured reminder of the past and a celebration of family legacy.
I’d love for you to come along for the ride.
Much love,
Kiri
