Working Remotely – When Distance Isn’t a Barrier……..
After sharing my January Reset post, I thought it was a good time to touch on something that often comes up in conversation — the possibility of working together remotely.
While most of my interior design work is done in person, I have also worked remotely with clients in the past, and it’s something I’m very open to when it’s the right fit. Distance doesn’t always need to be a barrier, especially when the goal is clarity, confidence and a well-thought-out plan for your home.
Remote design works particularly well for clients who live rurally or regionally, are interstate, or are simply time-poor. It’s also a lovely option if you’re looking for guidance rather than full-scale project management.
Typically, we begin with a virtual consultation — a relaxed conversation about how you live, what’s working, what’s not, and how you’d like your home to feel. From there, I can provide design concepts, colour palettes, finishes guidance, layouts and clear documentation — all tailored to your space, lifestyle and budget.
Everything is shared digitally, giving you the flexibility to absorb the information in your own time. There’s no rushing, no pressure, and plenty of room for questions and refinement. It’s a calm, considered approach that can sit comfortably alongside busy lives and varied locations.
Remote design doesn’t have to mean less care or attention. In many ways, it allows for thoughtful planning and clear communication — focusing on what really matters in a home: comfort, function and connection.
If this January has you thinking about a reset — even a small one — working together remotely is simply one of the ways I can support you. Whether in person or from afar, my approach remains the same: practical, considered, and centred around real life.
Sometimes the first step forward is simply knowing support is possible.
Much love,
Kiri 🤍
